Terms of sale
Last updated 5 September 2026 · Applies to orders and race entries placed on pacepacepace.com, and to organisers who sell entries here
The short version: the vest is made for your body after you order it, which is why the usual 14-day return window does not apply — but your statutory rights about defects absolutely do, and if something is wrong we fix it. Race entries are sold on behalf of the organiser, who sets the price and the refund terms; the price you see includes pace’s service fee. Organisers who sell here receive their full ticket price. The details follow.
Who you are buying from
Pace, org.nr. 926 408 968, Apotekergata 10, Oslo, Norway. hei@pacepacepace.com. These terms are governed by Norwegian law.
What you are buying
A liquid-cooled vest made to order in the size you choose, built against the height and weight you give us. It is not stocked; production starts for your order.
Price and payment
Prices are shown in Norwegian kroner and include 25% VAT. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay — there are no fees added afterwards. Payment is taken by Stripe at the time of ordering; we never see or store card details. Your receipt comes from Stripe by email.
Delivery
Build time is 9–13 weeks from payment; the exact window is shown on your confirmation page. We contact you once, around the halfway point, if anything about the fit needs a decision from you. If delivery will exceed the stated window, we tell you and you may cancel for a full refund.
Right of withdrawal
Because the vest is made to your measurements, the 14-day right of withdrawal under the Norwegian Cancellation Act does not apply (angrerettloven §22 first paragraph letter e — goods made to the consumer’s specifications). This is stated at checkout before you pay. If you change your mind before production has started, reply to your receipt and we will refund in full as a courtesy.
If something is wrong
Your statutory complaint rights under the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven) apply in full. If the vest is defective or does not match what was ordered, contact us and we will repair, replace, or refund. Complaints can be made up to five years after delivery for goods meant to last substantially longer than two years, which this is. Nothing on this page limits those rights.
Race entries
An entry to a race listed on this site is sold by its organiser, named on the event page, and pace acts as the organiser’s sales agent. The organiser sets the price, the entry conditions and the refund terms, and is responsible for the event itself. The price shown is the organiser’s ticket price plus pace’s service fee of 25%, and it is the price you pay — nothing is added at checkout. Payment is taken by Stripe at the time of entry. The organiser’s share is held until the day after the event and then paid to them; if the event is cancelled, your entry is refunded in full from that held money. Where the organiser allows it, you may withdraw an entry yourself for a full refund until the date shown beside it on your orders page; after that date, or where no date is shown, an entry is refunded only if the event is cancelled. A payment you dispute with your bank is decided by Stripe and your bank, and an entry whose payment is taken back that way is withdrawn. Your receipt names the organiser. Entries bought for events of different organisers are checked out separately.
For organisers
Listing an event, claiming it and editing it are free. You may apply to sell entries here once you have claimed an event. Applications are read by a person and may be declined without a reason being owed; we tell you the reason where we can.
To be paid you connect a Stripe account through pace. Stripe collects your identity and bank details directly and holds them; pace never sees them. By connecting you accept Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement, which Stripe presents during setup, and you are responsible for the information you give Stripe being true.
You name your ticket price and you receive it in full. pace adds a service fee of 25% on top of your price, which the runner pays; card processing fees are paid by pace out of that. There is no other charge to you. Where you have connected a Stripe account, entry money is held in it and paid out to your bank account 24 hours after your event ends, in your account’s currency; pace may agree rolling payouts on Stripe’s own schedule with organisers who have a record with us. A cancelled event is refunded to its entrants from that held money. Where Stripe cannot pay out to your country from pace’s platform (Thailand, at present), pace is the seller of record and pays you your ticket price by bank transfer within 14 days of the event, or earlier by agreement.
You are the seller of the entry and the organiser of the event. You are responsible for running the event as described, for honouring the entry conditions and refund terms you set, and for complying with the law where the event takes place. Refunds and disputes for an entry are settled against your account; where a dispute is lost, the amount is recovered from your balance or your next payouts. pace may pause selling for an organiser at any time where we believe an event will not run as described or the law requires it; entries already sold stand.
These terms for organisers are version 2026-09-05b. If they change materially we ask you to accept them again on your organiser page.
Disputes
If we cannot resolve a disagreement between us, you can bring it to the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet, forbrukerradet.no) for mediation. Norwegian courts have jurisdiction, with your local venue as a consumer preserved.
